Vincent Art Shipping Policies

Q: Do you ship?
A: Yes, we ship framed and unframed artwork via UPS Ground to all 48 continental United States. We do not ship to Canada.

Q: So, you won't ship overseas or to Alaska or Hawaii?
A: As a general rule, no. The reasoning behind this is that Vincent Art has found that shipping overseas or to Alaska or Hawaii involves extensive customs forms, and more importantly, that the cost of shipping an item to these regions more often than not exceeds the cost of the piece itself. Further, we are unable to provide accurate price quotes for shipping to these regions. However, if you wish to have a piece of artwork shipped from Vincent Art to an overseas location, Alaska, or Hawaii, please call our toll-free number (found on the Contact Us) page to place your order and discuss shipping options with us.

Q: How do you ship?
A: We ship via UPS Ground. The staff of Vincent Art takes great pride in hand-packaging your artwork ourselves, using our own materials. Prints are shipped in heavy-weight cardboard packing tubes. We wrap the prints in heavy-weight craft paper, taking care to protect the image side with tissue. The top and the bottom of the tube are packed with tissue paper to prevent damage to the ends of prints. We ship framed artwork in plexiglass (also known as acrylic) only because the risk of damage to the artwork in transit is greatly reduced. With your framed artwork, we provide instructions on how to care for the plexiglass, as well as hanging hardware appropriate to the weight of your piece. Framed artwork is first wrapped in cardboard—heavier pieces or more ornate frames are additionally packed with protective corners—then wrapped twice in bubble wrap. We at Vincent Art then personally build a box to snuggly fit the framed artwork, and all boxes are labeled as FRAGILE.

Q: What if I need my artwork sooner?
A: The standard shipping on our website is for UPS Ground. If you require faster delivery, we ask that you place your order with us over the phone by calling our toll-free number (found on the Contact Us page) during regular business hours ( 11 A.M. – 6 P.M. Monday through Friday; 10 A.M. – 7 P.M. Saturday & Sunday, CST) and discuss alternate shipping options with us. We are able to ship via any method offered by UPS, including overnight, but the price for shipping will be adjusted accordingly.

Q: Do you insure your shipments?
A: Yes. Everything that Vincent Art ships is insured to the full value of the piece.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: For unframed artwork, the cost per shipping tube is $18.00, no matter where it is going within the continental United States. Up to five (5) open edition lithographs can be shipped in a single tube, or up to two (2) silkscreens /  serigraphs. The cost for shipping framed artwork is as follows (please bear in mind that our shipping cost reflects not only UPS' charge for shipping, but also the cost of insurance, and our handling and packaging materials):
--Southeast: 24 x 30 & smaller: $40.00 per package / larger than 24 x 30: $50.00 per package
-- Northeast: 24 x 30 & smaller: $45.00 per package / larger than 24 x 30: $55.00 per package
--Midwest: 24 x 30 & smaller: $45.00 per package / larger than 24 x 30: $55.00 per package
--Southwest: 24 x 30 & smaller: $50.00 per package / larger than 24 x 30: $60.00 per package
--Northwest: 24 x 30 & smaller: $50.00 per package / larger than 24 x 30: $60.00 per package

Q: What do you mean, "per package?"
A: Except in the case of small pieces of framed artwork (usually those 16" x 20" inches and smaller), the risk of damage during transit is greatly increased by packaging more than one piece of framed artwork in a single box. For pieces larger than 16" x 20", we will ship multiple pieces in separate packages.

Q: How long will it take?
A: UPS makes a daily pickup at Vincent Art Monday through Friday. Once a package has left Vincent Art, it usually takes three to five business days for it to reach its destination. The majority of the prints featured on our website are always in stock. In some rare occasions, we may be out of a print or it may be on order. We are usually able to replenish our stock within the week, but this is not always possible given our reliance on the schedule of publishers and artists. If the print that you ordered is out of stock, we will let you know and give you an estimated arrival date. For framed artwork, the general rule is that we frame to order and our turn-around times are dependant on the time of year. We have a lot of festivals here in New Orleans, and Vincent Art gets very busy during times of the year such as Jazz & Heritage Festival and Mardi Gras. For most of the year, our turn-around time on framed artwork is one to two weeks, but during these busy times, it may take up to six weeks to process an order, as we operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you require a piece of artwork by a specific date—as a gift, for a home showing, etc.—we ask that you place your order at least a month in advance for framed artwork, and at least two weeks in advance for prints.

Q: What about tracking and order confirmation?
A: Once we have received your order, we will send you an email confirmation. We record the ship-out date and tracking number on everything we ship out. If you would like your tracking number sent to you, please let us know either in the comments box on the order page, or by responding to your confirmation email.

Q: What should I do if I receive a damaged package from Vincent Art?
A: We handle all UPS claims when necessary. If you should receive a damaged package from Vincent Art, save the original packaging and call us immediately. We will email you a return label (a UPS label made out under our shipping account which will direct UPS to send the package back to us). Take the damaged piece, the original packaging, and your return label to your local UPS store. UPS will repackage the piece and send it back to us. Once we receive the piece, we will file the insurance claim and either reframe or replace your damaged artwork and send it back to you in a timely manner. There is absolutely no cost to you to replace your damaged artwork. If taking the piece to a UPS store is inconvenient for you, please let us know, and we will arrange for UPS to pick up the damaged piece at any time and location that you specify. Please be aware, however, that if Vincent Art schedules a pick-up for you, you will need to repackage the piece beforehand.

Q: Will you ship original artwork?
A: Short answer, no. Unfortunately, we cannot ship portraits or other original artwork that was purchased elsewhere because we are unable to insure it and unable to replace it should it be damaged. The exception to this is original artwork purchased from Vincent Art, as these are already insured under our general business insurance.

Q: I have a different question that isn't addressed in this FAQ.
A: Please give us a call at (866) 846-2781 to ask us personally.
